The Veteran Employment and Training Service – VETS, is an organization that serves the veterans in America by protecting their employment rights and offering them employment resources and expertise.

The VETS provides training and employment services through a corporate working arrangement and also offers funds to the places where there are specific grant agreements.
The agency also manages two programs together. These programs are Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) and the Local Veterans Employment Representatives.

Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program – DVOP

The hiring preferences for the veterans are accorded with the federal government.
VETS inspects the complaints of veterans who are deprived of their rights. The objections that hold merit are stated to the Office of Personnel Management for further action.
The VETS are accountable to assure that all the veterans entitled to the priority job referrals or with a special consideration are free from discrimination by the federal contractors and subcontractors.
These federal members are responsible for listing all the job openings at the state employment service so that the special disabled veterans or qualified Vietnam-era veterans receive priority referrals for the opportunities.
The employers are responsible for filing annual reports with VETS, which mentions the number of these veterans in their workforce.
