  • Section 487-5 of the statute lays down the general powers, duties, and functions of the officers authorized to execute the law for consumer protection.
  • Section 487-13 describes the various unlicensed acts and penalties imposed in case of legal action.
  • Any person who finds to sell goods or rendering services without a license or permit from the Department of commerce and consumer affairs will be considered guilty.
  • The penalty for sale or service without a license will attract $500 but not more than $2500 for each unlawful act.
