  • The guidelines prescribe the “Income Shares Model” application based on each parent’s net income.
  • The non-custodial makes child support payments, while the custodial parent is presumed to spend the fees only on the child.
  • In addition to the parent’s net income, the bureau may also take the parenting time of each parent into account in order to arrive at a final support amount.
