Arkansas Alimony Law

HomeAlimony ArkansasArkansas Alimony Law

Alimony or the spousal support is not a matter of right in Arkansas alimony law,

but the court considers factors like the challenged earning capacities of the spouse to support their reasonable living in order to award it.

There are established set of alimony guidelines of the Arkansas state laws, which explain the conditions of the award as well as to terminate the awarded alimony.

Termination of Alimony:

Alimony is awarded on the case-by-case basis by considering the length of the marriage,

but it can be terminated on the basis of the following relevant reasons that include:

  • The remarriage of the recipient
  • A relationship of the recipient considered equal to that of the marriage
