West Virginia, like other states in the US, has several stringent laws regarding drunk driving.
If the individual driving in WV is found with or suspected of having a Blood Alcohol Concentration above 0.08% then, the individual can be convicted with DUI/DWI.
Some of the West Virginia DUI/DWI laws include the following:
- This BAC percent can reveal through a chemical test or a breath analysis. Refusing the test can lead to imprisonment for a stipulated period or even revocation of the license.
- According to the state law, Ignition Interlock Devices (IID’s) are not a compulsion, but having them will decrease the penalty length.
