- The Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law make the passing of goods or services with misleading certification, sponsorship, or the wrong source of origin unlawful.
- Representing deteriorated, reconditioned, altered, or secondhand goods as new and firsthand are illegal, and traders following such practices will be penalized under the Act.
- Issuing misleading discount offers or price reductions for the sale of goods are also regarded as deceptive acts or unfair methods of competition under the Act.
