2006 Oklahoma Code – Damages (Title 23) deals with the relief awarded to deprived parties of a contract.
- Relief or compensation is given to the party whose rights under a contract are violated.
- The loss arising from the violation of rights can be compensated in sums of money.
- The deprived party also has the right to receive interest on the damages incurred. The interest will start accruing from the due date on which the creditor was liable to repay his debt.
- Even in other cases which does not involve money but specific performance the jury may order the promissor payment of interest and damages if it is convinced.
