The Idaho child support guidelines consider the gross income of the parents in order to determine the child support amount.

  • The gross income of the parents will include the basic salary, overtime allowances, perquisites, commissions, unemployment allowances, pensions, etc.
  • The court will compute the amount that would have been spent by the parents on the children as a household and then apportion such amount between the parents based on their income proportions to combined income.
  • In certain cases, the courts may order dental insurance, medical expenses, conveyance expenses, etc. of the child over and above the basic custody amount.
