HomeChild Support MissouriMissouri Child Support Laws

The Child support laws of Missouri require both the parents to be responsible for taking care of child’s requirements until he/she attains the age of eighteen or completes high school education.

  • The child care obligation of each spouse will be determined by applying the “Income shares model”.
  • Parents are required to pay the minimum computed amount and are allowed to pay anything more, if it is in the best interests of the child.
  • Form No. 14 is used to calculate the exact liability of each parent, whether custodial or non-custodial.
  • Incomes like salaries, bonus, commission on sales, or any other irregular income is also considered in such computation of the net income of the parents.
