The New Hampshire Child support laws are based on the income shares model.
The court is further empowered to increase or decrease the amount if, in any case, it feels it is in the interest of the child.
- The parent’s income will combine and certain expenditures deducted from it to arrive at the net income.
- The non-custodial parent will make the payments to the custodial parent, who is assumed to spend only on the child for their welfare.
- The parents will share the child’s expenses in relation to their primary health, education, and recreational facilities.
