- The Law considers it unlawful to practice any deceptive trade or business act whether or not it results in any damage or financial loss to the consumer.
- Failure to convey any material fact that can possibly alter the decision of the consumer is also regarded as unlawful.
- The Law is not applicable to professional services rendered by certified public accountant, architect, lawyer, etc.
- Any merchant or seller who is found guilty of violating the law will be charged with a penalty of $1, 000 or imprisonment upto one year, or both as the court may decide.
