The Wyoming Consumer Protection Act governs the consumer rights, trade practices, and remedies for unfair trade practices in Wyoming.
- The Act provides the consumer a right to reject unsolicited merchandise that has to send to him.
However, he is also not obligated to return the merchandise as it is treated as an unconditional gift to the consumer.
- A trader is engaged in unlawful trade practice
if he knowingly misrepresents the merchandise,
its approval, certifications, origin, etc., which can cause damage to the consumer.
- Misrepresentation of warranties,
or false rights, or other remedies is also unlawful under the Act.
- Advertising goods without an intention to sell them or
without adequate inventory to satisfy public demand is also illegal under the Act.
